2000 Pierce Dash custom 105' Aerial Ladder.  The unit is designated as Truck 431 and is the first due aerial piece form Harford County Company 4, House #1.  The custom Dash chassis features a 10 inch raised roof over the crew area with seating for six firefighters in custom Kevlar woven SCBA seats.  Other interior features include a FireCom 3025 intercom system for all seats, air conditioning in the full cab and ergonomically designed control consoles for both driver and officer.  Truck 431 is equipped with a 2000 GPM, Hale QMAX pump with a 500 gallon poly tank.  Intake and large diameter discharges are electrically controlled for operator safety.  Power is supplied by a Detroit Diesel Series 60 Engine with 500-HP, coupled with an Allison World-Class 5-speed automatic transmission.  Anti-lock brakes (ABS) and a three-stage transmission retarder have been integrated for additional safety.  Additional features include an AMPS 15kW hydraulic generator, two telescoping 1500W Floodlights in the front, two telescoping 1000W floodlights in the rear, and a full compliment of Federal and Whelen emergency lighting.  Truck 431 is equipped with the Pierce "All Steer" system, which allows the rear wheels to perform as steerable axles.  This system allows greater access into restricted access streets and courts in the district.  It also allows for increased agility and maneuverability comparable to, and perhaps better than that of a traditional pumper.  The aerial ladder is a Pierce 105-foot heavy-duty ladder, capable of a tip capacity of 500 pounds, while flowing 1000 GMP at any angle or elevation.  The pre-piped waterway is also equipped for elevated standpipe operations, and features electric and remote lighting at the tip.  Truck 431 also carries over 180 feet of ground ladders, as well as various forcible entry, rescue, and specialized tools.  The unit carries two 1 ¾" pre-connected hose lines, one 1 ¾" pre-connected trash line, and a unique apartment/warehouse line featuring 3" supply line with a gated wye designed for quick cross lay deployment.  Truck 431 replaces a 1975 Seagrave/LTI 85 foot tower ladder. 
   

Heavy Rescue 451

2005 PIERCE LANCE Extended Chassis is configured to seat eight firefighters and features a 22 inch raised roof, 84” cab extended cab, air conditioning, PIERCE exclusive TAK-4 Independent Front Suspension System and 360 Degree Roll Protection Systems, a 515 horsepower Detroit Diesel 60 Series engine and an Allison EVS 4000 Automatic Transmission.  Large EMS compartments were also integrated into the crew cab for quick deployment of equipment.  A 23.5 foot tandem axle rescue body contains a wide array of equipment including Hurst tools, air tools, air bags, and equipment for confined space, trench rescue, water rescue, high angle rescue and other specialized equipment.  RESCUE 451 also features a Command Workstation in the crew cab, a Harrison 30kW hydraulic generator, FRC Optima lights on the sides and rear of the apparatus, FRC Optima HID lights on the cab brow and the rear of the apparatus, a six head Wil-Burt light tower, six Hurst reels with remote dump valves, two service air reels with a Matco service air compressor, two breathing air reels, a four cylinder cascade system with booster pump, Eagle Sidewinder dual fill station, and four 200 foot electric cord reels.  The front bumper design allows for quick deployment of a combination tool and other Hurst equipment while operating in close quarters in busy traffic situations.  RESCUE 451 also features a rear 12,000 lb. winch as well as a 9,000 lb. portable winch which can be deployed at the front or both sides of the vehicle.  RESCUE 451 is equipped with a full compliment of HURST tools powered by two HURST TRIMO power supplies.  Special compartments were configured for trench and confined space equipment.  A slide out folding stairway allows access to the roof walkway containing additional storage in large hatch compartments.  The new Heavy Rescue Vehicle features custom paint and graphics by PIERCE, and features Whelen Super LED Warning lights. 
   

Engine 411

2005 PIERCE DASH Chassis is configured to seat six firefighters and features a 10 inch raised roof, air conditioning, PIERCE exclusive TAK-4 Independent Front Suspension System and 360 Degree Roll Protection Systems, a 455 horsepower Detroit Diesel 60 Series engine and an Allison EVS 4000 Automatic Transmission.  Engine 411 also features a 1000 gallon water tank, rescue style compartments, hydraulic ladder rack, a Harrison 15kW hydraulic generator, FRC Optima lights on the cab brow, rear of the apparatus and rear cab wall, and one 200 foot cord reel.  The Hale QMAX Single Stage 2000 GPM Pump supplies a front trash line, three preconnected crosslays, and two preconnected bedlays.  A PIERCE HUSKY 10 Foam System allows for the use of foam through all six preconnected handlines.  Engine 411 is also equipped to carry 1000 ft. of 5” supply line and 500 ft. of 3” supply line.  Engine 411 features all Whelen LED Emergency Lighting, and a Federal Q2B mechanical siren.  Custom paint and all custom lettering and graphics were also done by PIERCE.

The unit carries two 1 ¾" pre-connected hose lines, one 1 ¾" pre-connected trash line, and a unique apartment/warehouse line featuring 3" supply line with a gated wye designed for quick cross lay deployment.  The rear bed lays include a 250 Ft.  1 ¾" pre-connected hose line, a 250 Ft. 2 ½" pre-connected blitz line, 500 Ft. of 3" supply line and 1000 Ft. of 5" LDH with hydrant assist valve.  The unit carries a 28 Ft. Duo-Safety extension ladder, 16 Ft. Duo-Safety roof ladder, and a 10 Ft. folding ladder.  Engine 412 replaces a 1977 Seagrave custom pumper.

Utility 497 2005 Suburban.  This utility is ALS-equipped and can transport a backboarded patient from off of the road surface to a waiting ambulance.  Paramedics utilize this utility allowing them to be available while in the area.  BLS providers use this to fill out crews.  It is also used as a support vehicle for CPR assists and first responder assignments.

RETIRED 12/2005 - 1991 Spartan/Saulsbury Custom Heavy Rescue.  Aluminum chassis and walk around rescue body featuring a Spartan Gladiator 10 man command cab.  Powered by Detroit diesel silver 92, 350 horsepower with Allison 4 speed automatic transmission.  Harrison 20Kw onboard generator with 6 body mounted 1000W flood lights.  2 1500W telescoping floodlights, and 2 detachable 1500W floodlights on tripods.  Onboard cascade system.  Three Hurst power units, one 110V electric, one 240V electric and one gas powered unit.  Tool compliment includes Hurst 32A spreaders, Hurst Pallidan Tool and O-Cutters plus full compliment of Hurst rams.  Full compliment of air tools and air bags.  Various other equipment includes cribbing, ice rescue equipment and rope rescue equipment, and front and rear 20,000 lb wenches.
