This money has been useful to replace equipment, apparatus, provide training and provide up to date resources for our members. A representative from our Recruitment Team will contact you as soon as possible, however please give up to 24 hours to be contacted. The process, requirements, training and benefits to become a volunteer Firefighter and/or EMT will be explained to you when you attend the orientation.
The mission of the Abingdon Fire Company is to minimize the loss of life and property resulting from fires, medical emergencies, environmental, and other disasters. We will accomplish our mission in a safe manner through prevention, education, fire suppression, medical services, rescue skills, and other related emergency and non-emergency activities and operate within the scope of our resources. The timely delivery of these services enables the Company to make significant contributions to the safety of the citizens of Abingdon and its surroundings. We will actively participate in our community, serve as role models, and strive to effectively and efficiently utilize all of the necessary resources at our command to provide a product deemed excellent by our citizens.
