On March 28th at 1512 hours, Abingdon Fire Company was alerted for motor vehicle accident with reported injuries and rescue in the 4800 block of Philadelphia Rd. Safety Officer 4 (SO 4) arrived with a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot and confirmed entrapment of one of the two vehicles occupants. Chief 4 arrived shortly after and established command of the incident. Within twenty minutes of the original call the crew from R451 and Chief 4-2 had stabilized the incident and extricated the patient. Abingdon EMS transported one patient to a local facility.
