On March 24th at 1405 hours, Abingdon Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with reported injuries and rescue. Chief 4-2 arrived on scene to a three vehicle accident. Command advised no rescue shortly after the arrival of first in units. Abingdon EMS units transported two patients from the scene to a local hospital and local trauma center.

This was the fourth motor vehicle accident today on I-95 that the company responded to. Remember when operating near emergency vehicles on roadway to move over into the next lane and if unable to slow down or be prepared to stop.
