On April 15th at 1810 hours, Abingdon Fire Company and Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company were alerted for a motor vehicle accident with reported rescue in the area of mile marker 75 on I-95 south bound. Chief 4-2 arrived on location establishing command and confirming rescue. Crews worked together to extricate one patient who was transported by Abingdon EMS to a regional trauma center.
