Special Members Wanted!!!!

Do you currently have fire or rescue training? Do you want to use your training and help staff apparatus?

Abingdon Fire Company is looking for special members! What does a special member entail?

A special member is one that is trained already and can do the job without having the benefits or voting power that a regular member has. A regular member is one that can vote with the membership on various changes, can vote on membership and elections, and they receive incentive, and tax credits. A regular member is obligated to pull 12 hours a month of duty time in station. A special member would only be able to ride on the apparatus and be part of the crew for the various incidents. The special member will be able to respond to the station from home when incidents are dispatched.
